Description:
This course is uniquely designed for multidisciplinary learning. Thursday and Friday there will be separate, parallel tracks allowing registrants to focus on either Imaging or Management topics. Saturday, imaging and management lectures emphasize injuries in contact sports. The MR Imaging track focuses on MRI diagnosis in athletic injuries. Although the basic principles and protocols are covered, there is emphasis on advanced interpretation and current concepts. The Management track focuses on current concepts in the approach to patients with exercise-related symptoms and athletic trauma. Everyday practice situations and decision making are covered, with an emphasis on the pelvis and groin, running injuries, the female athlete and the role of
platelet rich plasma in tissue healing. There will be live ultrasound demonstrations.
