Sports Medicine 2012: Imaging and Managing Athletic Injuries
Date: 05/10/2012 - 05/12/2012Description:
During two days there are separate, parallel tracks allowing registrants to focus on either Imaging or Management topics. On the third day, Imaging and Management lectures are integrated for all registrants. The half-day hands-on Ultrasound workshop is limited to a small number of registrants.
The Imaging track focuses on MRI diagnosis in athletic injuries. Although basic principles, protocols and anatomy are covered, there is emphasis on advanced interpretation and current concepts. The Management track focuses on current concepts in the approach to patients with exercise-related symptoms and athletic trauma. Everyday practice situations and decision-making are covered. Attendees are invited to go back and forth between the educational tracks. The Ultrasound symposium teaches scanning through hands-on participation.
