One patient wrote to tell us about her recent mammogram at Mass General West Imaging in Waltham, complimenting the staff she encountered throughout her visit:

For most women having a mammogram can be quite stressful. For me, I am full of stress and anxiety days before my mammogram and until I receive my letter in the mail--so stressed that I think I drive my husband, sisters and mother crazy--yikes!!!!--for days, which brings me to the reason for my letter.

Deanna, Danielle, Rose and Irene are absolutely wonderful. Each one brings something special to a very stressful day. They greet each patient with a warm smile, they are happy to see me, they truly care. They go above and beyond to make me feel at ease--each one--in their own unique way. Please know how much this means to me. They truly make a difference. You should be so proud of them for all they do and you must be proud to have them working at Mass General.

Every mammogram is interpreted by a radiologist with specialized training in breast imaging. When diagnostic mammography is necessary to evaluate abnormal clinical findings, a breast radiologist performs the exam and interacts directly with the patient.

Another patient at Mass General West Imaging in Waltham emailed us about her diagnostic mammogram experience to say:

I wanted you to know that I had a wonderful experience at the Mass General West imaging department today. My technologist Linda was so kind and caring. Deanna is also so kind and just so nice--that makes the check-in process easy. Dr. Staffa was also great as she explained everything she was doing and told me that my exam was clear of any disease.

In addition to Waltham, Mass General Imaging provides mammography on the Mass General main campus and at several other convenient community locations. At each facility, our dedicated and sensitive staff understands women's concerns with breast health and focuses on supporting them throughout their imaging journey.
