The rapidly expanding subspecialty of thoracic radiology creates a challenge for physicians to stay current. This three-day course includes symposia dedicated to the multidisciplinary assessment and management of lung cancer, lung cancer screening, the approach to HRCT and interstitial lung diseases and acute cardiothoracic imaging. New modalities including PET-CT, MRI, dual-energy CT and dose reduction strategies will be presented. Faculty from Harvard Medical School, Massachusetts General Hospital and other institutions present sessions on imaging in lung cancer, interventional radiology in the chest, vascular and cardiac diseases as well as mediastinal pathologies, airways diseases, pulmonary nodule evaluation, pulmonary infections and methods of radiation dose reduction.
