Biography

Jan-Erik obtained his M.D. (2011) from the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. For his doctoral thesis he worked at the German Center for Vertigo and Balance Disorders at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich on the modulation of gait in Parkinson patients. Following this, he started his residency in radiology at the Department for Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology (Prof. T. Vogl) at the University Hospital Frankfurt, where he focused his research on CT imaging of the head and neck and oncologic treatment modalities in Interventional Radiology. In 2016, Jan-Erik received a grant from the German Research Foundation and started a postdoctoral research position with Dr. Brian Ghoshhajra at the Cardiac MR PET CT Program at the Massachusetts General Hospital.
