- Always wear your MGH ID badge.
- Arrive on time to encounters.
- Introduce yourself to patients and providers.
- Conduct yourself in a professional manner.
- Dress in a professional manner.
- Acknowledge language limitations when they arise and always
ask for clarification.
- Do not sit with patients in the waiting room areas.
- Always follow the hospital Standard Safety Precautions.
- Do not give your home telephone number to the patient, or to
the provider.
- Keep patient information confidential.
- Take notes when appropriate and necessary.
- Speak slowly and enunciate clearly.
- Look at both patient and provider.
- Respect cultural diversity.
