Multicultural Affairs Office

Community Outreach

Over the past years, the Multicultural Affairs Office has evolved as a partner with the internal and external MGH community to provide the highest quality of care to an increasingly diverse patient population.  Our diverse physician workforce is always interested in giving back to the Boston community. MAO collaborates with several entities to provide these opportunities:

Activities:

Elementary and highschool students.

  • Improving the health and wellbeing of the diverse communities we serve is part of Mass General’s mission. MAO partners with the MGH Center for Community Health Improvement  on a number of initiatives, including strategic planning for community health education and direct participation in MGH Youth Programs, which exposes young people in Boston, Chelsea and Revere to health and science subjects and related careers. MAO faculty and the Organization of Minority Residents and Fellows volunteer and provide mentorship and motivational speaking to students in this program.
