Biography
Dr. Axelrod is a practicing endocrinologist and internist and a medical educator. He is actively engaged in the teaching of medical students, residents, endocrine fellows and practicing physicians in his capacity as Chief of the James Howard Means Firm in the Department of Medicine at MGH. He is the coordinator for the Department of Medicine for the Case Records of the Massachusetts General Hospital, which are published regularly in the New England Journal of Medicine. He is also the Director of Medical Grand Rounds at the MGH.
