BiographyDr. Valerie Stone is Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, Director of the Primary Care Internal Medicine Residency Program at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), and Associate Chief for Teaching and Training of the General Medicine Division at MGH. She is a clinician in the Internal Medicine Associates and Infectious Disease Associates at MGH and has joint appointments in the General Medicine and Infectious Diseases Divisions at MGH and Harvard Medical School. She is also a Senior Scientist at the Stoeckle Center for Primary Care Innovation, where her scholarly focus is on disparities in HIV/AIDS care by race/ethnicity as well as innovations in primary care education. Dr. Stone received her medical degree from Yale University School of Medicine and completed her residency in internal medicine at the Case Western Reserve University Hospitals. She completed a fellowship in health services research and received an MPH in Health Policy and Management from the Harvard School of Public Health and completed a fellowship in infectious diseases at the Boston University School of Medicine hospitals. She is a member of the Board of Regents of the American College of Physicians.

Educating teens about HIV

MGH Hotline 06.18.10 Promoting HIV prevention and education to Massachusetts' teens, Project DeliverUs is a community program developed under the auspices of Valerie Stone, MD, MPH, associate chief of the General Medicine Unit, and local independent filmmaker Kathryn Hall, who produced the film, "Deliver Us," about HIV in communities of color.
