BiographyDr. Blendea completed training in internal medicine, cardiology and earned his PhD degree at the Iuliu Hatieganu University in Romania, where he also served as a faculty member. He came to the US and re-trained in internal medicine and cardiology at Yale - Bridgeport Hospital, and completed a fellowship in clinical cardiac electrophysiology at MGH. He is an attending staff of the Cardiac Arrhythmia Service, based primarily at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River where he is working to expand the cardiac arrhythmia service. He will continue his research activities at MGH which is focused on outcomes in patients undergoing cardiac resynchronization therapy as well as left atrial imaging in patient with atrial fibrillation.

Research

My clinical and research work focuses ontreatment of patients with heart failure and arrhythmias. My area ofproficiency is in the field of cardiac resynchronization therapy, where myefforts have led to improved device implantation strategies, resulting insuperior clinical outcomes.
