The Medical Walk-In Unit accepts most major insurance carriers, managed care plans and Medicaid. If your health plan requires authorization from your primary physician prior to receiving care in the Medical Walk-In Unit, please arrange for your physican's office to send a referral, copayments are expected at the time of service. The Medical Walk-In Unit provides medical care to patients regardless of income or insurance coverage. Uninsured or underinsured patients may also be eligible for financial assistance through the MGH Office of Patient Financial Services.
