Join us as we explore the 1916 Antarctic journey of Ernest Shackleton and the expedition surgeons who treated crew members for the problems and injuries inflicted by the extreme environment. "Of Penguins, Pinnipeds and Poisons: Shackleton's Antarctic Doctors" will be presented by Paul Firth, MD, Mass General pediatric anesthesiologist and extreme medicine expert on Tuesday, January 10 at 6 pm in the Putnam Gallery of the Russell Museum.

Light refreshments will be served.
