The Paul S. Russell, MD Museum of Medical History and Innovation invites you to attend the first evening lecture in the 2014 Lecture Series
A Mummy Revealed
The Mass General Paul S. Russell Museum of Medical History and Innovation invites you to attend its first evening lecture of 2014. This panel discussion, "Padihersher: A Mummy Revealed," will explore the life and death of the hospital's oldest patient -- 200 year old Theban mummy Padihershef. The discussion will explore the mummy's origins, and how he lived and died. The information is the result of a year-long conservation project undertaken by the hospital to preserve this MGH icon.
The panel discussion, which features experts on Egyptology, neuroradiology, conservation and mummification, begins at 5:30 pm in the Ether Dome. The event will be followed immediately with a reception in the museum, where an exhibit dedicated to the mummy conservation project will be launched.
For more information or to register for the program, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 617-724-2755. Seating will be limited and will be provided on a first-come, first-serve registration basis.
