Core Functions: The purpose of this Core is to provide a monoclonal antibody production service to individual neuroscience research projects. Protein/peptides provided by the individual investigators will be used to generate mouse monoclonal antibodies.

Specific functions of the Core are listed below.
• The Core will provide consultation to investigators in choosing the appropriate peptides    or expressing the protein of interest as bacterial fusion proteins.
• The Core will be responsible for ordering mice, injecting peptides/proteins and testing    the mouse sera for positive response.
• Hybridoma fusion will be carried out on one or more animals depending on the    response, and screening will be performed by ELISA and Western blot analyses.
