Welcome! Cerebral amyloid angiopathy (CAA) is increasingly recognized as a major cause of strokes in the elderly. The term CAA refers to protein deposits in blood vessels of the brain that can allow blood to leak out cause hemorrhagic (bleeding) strokes.

This website is intended as a resource for both patients and families suffering from CAA and the investigators and clinicians who work in this field.
