Dr Verne Caviness practices general pediatric neurology. He has a special interest in headache disorders and in developmental malformations of the brain. He is active as an attending on the inpatient services and also meets both individual and resident outpatient clinics. He is additionally involved in two research programs. One of these concerns the volumetric study of the human brain based upon MRI. The other is in the cell and molecular biology of development of the cerebral cortex with experiments in mice.
