Neuro-Cortical Malformations

Developmental malformations of the brain include a wide range of disorders that affect normal development of the brain, thereby causing neurological problems such as developmental delay, focal neurological deficit and epilepsy. Many of the disorders manifest themselves with seizures in adulthood.

Utilizing state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging capabilities and an interdisciplinary team, the Clinic offers a comprehensive approach to the diagnosis and management of these disorders, which include, but are not limited to:

Pediatric specialists from Neurology, Neurogenetics, Epilepsy, Orthopedics and Neuroradiology, as well as physical, occupational and speech/language therapists work collaboratively to provide each patient with an appropriate treatment plan. Children are seen quickly and referring physicians are welcome to call the clinic beforehand to discuss a patient's case.
