Diagnostic Services and Testing
New patients undergo a comprehensive evaluation directed by one of the clinic neurologists. Services are provided by a multi-disciplinary clinic, which includes assessments by neurology, psychiatry, social services, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and nutrition. By the end of the evaluation, the team of professional health providers will have recommended an individualized treatment plan and a plan for follow-up care.
Depending on an individual’s needs, ongoing care might include education, counseling and support, advice about nutrition and fitness, medications for specific symptoms, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, psychotherapy, or management of residential care. Regular follow-up is helpful in reducing symptoms, optimizing the quality of life, and staying abreast with advances in research.
