Consultations and Referrals
To request a consult from General Neurology or from a specific Neurology subspecialty clinic, please complete a Referral Form (PDF) (also available as a MS Word file) indicating the appropriate subspecialty and/or Neurology coordinator and fax to the number on the form.
Patients referred to Neurology will need to have an insurance referral generated prior to their visit. No walk-in services are available.

MassGeneral Hospital Providers may make semi-urgent referrals to the Neurology Urgent Access Clinic (NUAC), which is part of The General Neurology Clinic. This is a secure site; you must be logged on to the Partners’ network to access it. Find more information at the MGH Primary Care Office InSite website. Enter “NUAC” in the search field to go directly to the NUAC page.

Online Consultations
Partners Online Specialty Consultations (POSC) is a web-based consultation service that provides consumers and their physicians access to the knowledge base of specialists practicing at Massachusetts General Hospital and other Partner's affiliates without coming to Boston.
A division of Partners HealthCare, the service is managed by the Center for Connected Health, a leader in the use of technology to deliver quality care outside of the hospital or doctor’s office.

Please note:
- Both doctor and patient must register to have access to the service
- All communication takes place through the website only
- Fees for services are not covered by insurance
- Requires medical records to be submitted in English
- Response time is approximately one week
