Research Description
I am interested in enabling personal and community-driven knowledge acquisition, curation and sharing. I have been working on scientific discourse representation in Alzheimer's Disease research and I am currently exploring the use of Annotation of digital resources for supporting the knowledge creation process. My goal is to limit the episodes of lost knowledge in biomedical research and help scientists capitalizing on what is already known.
Previously, I have been investigating innovative workflow- and evidence- based clinical information systems. I have been working on automation of clinical guidelines for pathologies such as heart failure, stroke and hypertension. I have also designed and developed software infrastructures for connecting health care providers focusing on rare pathologies.
