Research Description

I study P-type ATPases at the molecular level. These include the Na,K ATPase and the plasma membrane Ca ATPase. These ATPases control intracellular calcium, sodium and potassium. Using realistic molecular models in computers, I explain the behavior of these ATPases and fit it into the mechanisms of cell signaling.
