Aladdin's Adventure

Cracking the glass ceiling

MGH Hotline 10.08.10 In commemoration of Women in Medicine Month, the MGH last month hosted Eve J. Higginbotham, SM, MD, senior vice president and executive dean for Health Science at Howard University, who presented "Cracking the Glass Ceiling in Academic Medicine," Sept. 20 in the Thier Conference Room.

MGH hosts president of Latvia

MGH Hotline 10.08.10 Hundreds of clinical and research fellows train at the MGH each year and go on to achieve great things in their careers. One former fellow, who trained in the MGH Department of Orthopaedic Surgery in the early 1990s, is the current President of the Republic of Latvia Valdis Zatlers.

NIH grants support visionary MGH research projects

MGH Hotline 10.08.10 Rajiv Gupta, MD, PhD, director of the MGH Ultra-High-Resolution Volume CT Lab, has been appointed the MGH site miner for the Center for Integration of Medicine and Innovative Technology (CIMIT).

Recycling and reducing costs at the MGH

MGH Hotline 10.08.10 For the second year in a row, MGHers helped reduce waste and cut costs at the hospital by recycling their department's unwanted office supplies during the 2010 MGH Office Supply Recycle events.
