Friendly competition

Every year residents from the departments of Anesthesia, Critical Care and Pain Medicine; Pediatrics; Surgery; and Medicine face off in a friendly contest – organized by the Department of Anesthesia – to see which department can collect the most gifts for the Toys for Tots holiday drive.

Gracious gifts

On Christmas Eve day, Santa Claus will make a special stop at the MassGeneral Hospital for Children to deliver gifts on behalf of the MGH Blood Donor Center.

Holiday cheer

‘Tis the season for MGHers to gather and celebrate with melodic music and tasty treats at the annual Holiday Receptions, hosted by President Peter L. Slavin, MD.

Honoring donors

The MGH will help honor organ and tissue donors at the 100th Rose Bowl Parade in Pasadena, Calif. on New Year’s Day.

Lighting the way

On Dec. 2, the fifth night of Chanukah, Stan Wasserman, a physician assistant in Cardiac Surgery, lit the menorah at the annual MGH Community Chanukah Celebration in the Thier Conference Room.

Santa told to sleigh down

Mr. Kris Kringle, an 895-year-old male, was admitted to the MGH Dec. 13 with complaints of abdominal pain, fever, nausea and vomiting.

Santa's helpers

MassGeneral Hospital for Children (MGHfC) patient Polina Connor, 12, gets a surprise visit and gift bag from Santa and his helpful elves in the Department of Orthopædic Surgery.

Songs of the season

At the annual MGH Chaplaincy Songfest, spirit and smiling faces filled the White corridor as jolly staff members and volunteers in festive attire serenaded an audience.
