A global visit

PROVIDING HEALTH CARE AID TO REFUGEES: Larry Ronan, MD, director of the Durant Fellowship in Refugee Medicine in the MGH Center for Global Health, visited the Za’atari Syrian Refugee Camp in Northern Jordan in late November as the guest of the Jordanian Health Aid Society (JHAS), a local nongovernmental organization responsible for health care of the Syrian refugees. The camp is home to 86,000 Syrian refugees.  Ronan is pictured here, at left, with JHAS doctors serving in the camp’s Women & Girls Comprehensive Center. The Durant Fellowship is open to all MGH staff to support efforts to assist refugees. For more information, emaillronan@partners.org.
