Mass General offers several weekly groups that provide support and information about breastfeeding and adjusting to parenthood.

Weekly groups for pregnant women, new mothers and their families led by Massachusetts General Hospital nurses and lactation consultants provide a friendly and supportive environment to discuss questions regarding breastfeeding, newborn care, adjusting to parenthood and breast pump use.

Groups are free and open to the public.

Virtual Breastfeeding Support Group

Happening virtually on Wednesdays at 2 pm, this group provides support and guidance for breastfeeding, parenting and healing after childbirth. Email ipc@mghihp.edu for more information.

The MGH Center for Women’s Mental Health

The Center specializes in postpartum psychiatric disorders, psychiatric disorders during pregnancy, and breastfeeding while taking psychiatric medications.

Me and My Baby Support Group

A weekly social and supportive group for new moms lead by a registered nurse and a lactation consultant. Join us to meet other new moms, ask questions, share your experiences and get support.

Time: Wednesdays from 9:30 - 11:00 am

The Mother Infant Lactation Club (MILC)

The Mother Infant Lactation Club (MILC) is a place for moms to come with their babies and ask questions about being a new parent. We cover a wide variety of topics, including breastfeeding, breast pumps, newborn care, introducing solid foods and sleep habits. At each meeting, there is a professional lactation counselor present to answer your questions. This group is full of laughter and many friendships. This is a safe no judgment space for families.

Time: Mondays from 10:00 am - 11:30 pm
Location: Roger Sweet Conference Room (exterior entrance door #2)
