Dr. Dodson is internationally recognized for his clinical research demonstrating the efficacy of oral and maxillofacial surgery techniques and as a teacher of evidence-based clinical practice. In addition to being Board-certified in oral and maxillofacial surgery, Dr. Dodson completed an NIH-funded post-doctoral fellowship in Clinical Epidemiology and an internship in Dental Public Health at the University of California-San Francisco. Dr. Dodson is currently Associate Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Harvard Dental School.
Dr. Dodson’s research has spurred debate on social issues, including the efficacy of mandatory seatbelt laws and identifying domestic violence. As co-author of a publication on office-based ambulatory anesthesia, he was awarded the 2004 Daniel M. Laskin award for the most outstanding article published in the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dr. Halpern was the first Fellow in Clinical Investigation sponsored by the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Foundation. She is a graduate of NYU Dental School and New York Medical College. She is currently Assistant Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dr. Halpern’s research interests are facial injuries as markers for intimate partner violence, and outcomes after maxillofacial trauma.
Dr. Chuang completed the Fellowship in Clinical Investigation sponsored by the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Foundation in 2004. He is a graduate of Harvard School of Dental Medicine and Mount Sinai Medical School. Currently he holds an appointment as Assistant Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Chuang is particularly well-known for his use of innovative applied analytical methods. He has a growing body of research on complications and risk factors of dental implants.
