Externships

  • Externship in OMFS for Undergraduate Dental Candidates

    Mass General Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery offers an exciting 2-3 week externship opportunity for pre-doctoral dental candidates to gain exposure to the full scope of our discipline at Mass General Hospital.

Residencies

  • Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency

    The residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery is a six-year program leading to qualification for certification by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, completion of the MD degree at Harvard Medical School, and a total of 16 months as a Mass General resident in general surgery.

  • Orofacial Pain Residency

    A two-year Orofacial Pain residency program. This program will offer advanced training in orofacial pain, headache disorders and dental sleep medicine.

  • General Practice Residency in Dentistry

    The Massachusetts General Hospital Harvard General Practice Residency in Dentistry is a one-year program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation.

Fellowships

  • CACI Fellowship

    The CACI Fellowship is a 1-2 year curriculum during which the fellow pursues didactic coursework while conducting original, independent clinical research in oral and maxillofacial surgery.

  • OMFS Pediatric Research Fellowship

    A unique one-year fellowship that combines laboratory and clinical research in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Massachusetts General Hospital.
