One-Year Fellowship Program: July 1, 2015 – June 30, 2016 - Position has been filled.
We are pleased to announce a unique one-year fellowship that combines laboratory and clinical research in the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the Massachusetts General Hospital with a junior faculty position at the Instructor rank.
The OMFS Pediatric research fellow pursues a rigorous agenda with about 60% of his or her time in research and 40% in patient care. These activities are described in more detail in the Clinical and Research Experience tabs above.
The fellowship includes 60% time in research and 40% time in patient care. The research program is carried out at the Massachusetts General Hospital with projects in skeletal molecular biology, wound healing, tissue regeneration, and distraction osteogenesis. Patient care activity is at Massachusetts General Hospital for Children. Emphasis is placed on both patient care and research in Pediatric OMFS. The fellow serves as an attending surgeon on the Ward Service supervising residents and participating in the trauma on-call schedule.
