Dr. Guralnick turned 100 on November 1, 2016.

Dr. Guralnick's Interview with the Boston Globe
At 100 years old, Dr. Walter Guralnick has stepped out of the operating room, but is still an active member of the Mass General Hospital Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He recently managed to slow down for an interview about his life and career.

Dr. Guralnick turned 100!
Dr. Guralnick turned 100 this year and after a century of world progress and personal achievements, he remains an active member at Mass General, where he has worked for 65 years.

OMFS welcomes Dr. Somi Kim
Dr. Kim covers the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery. She is fluent in Korean and practices at the Mass General Boston campus and at the Mass General/North Shore Center for Outpatient Care.

The Paul S. Russell Museum to feature an OMFS exhibit
The Paul S. Russell, MD Museum of Medical History and Innovation tells the rich story of Mass General through interactive media displays, artifacts and photographs.

2015 OMFS Updates

Dr. Troulis named chief of service
We are pleased to announce that Maria J. Troulis, DDS, MSc, has been named the next chief of OMFS. She will also serve as the next Walter C. Guralnick Professor and chair of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Harvard School of Dental Medicine (HSDM).

Woodrow Wilson was re-elected for a second term as president of the United States. And Walter Guralnick, DMD, now chief emeritus of the MGH Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS), was born.

    The 2014 annual AAOMS meeting was dedicated to our own Dr. Walter C. Guralnick. The dedication tribute, the most important award given by AAOMS, was presented at the opening ceremony. Dr. Guralnick was unable to attend but here is the link to the video of his acceptance.
