Lou graduated with a B.S. in mechanical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh in 1999. Thereafter, he enrolled at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he received his M.S. (2001) and Sc.D. (2005) in Mechanical Engineering. Lou has been a member of the Bioengineering Laboratory since 1999. He is primarily interested in soft tissue biomechanics.
