Trauma Service
Patient Information
The Orthopaedic Trauma Service is an essential
part of Emergency Services at MGH. Staff members maintain 24-hour coverage
in the Emergency Services Department to help care for the multitraumatized
patient. Specialized interests include compartment syndromes, surgical managment
of lower extremity trauma, pelvic injuries and fractures in the elderly. The
Orthopaedics Trauma Service works in close conjunction with the MGH
Regional Burn and Trauma Program.
