About the MGH Hand and Upper Extremity Service

The Hand and Upper Extremity Service led by Dr. Jesse B. Jupiter is the busiest service in the outpatient unit at the MGH. Physicians in the Hand Service and work closely with members of the Orthopaedic Trauma Service and the Pediatric Orthopaedic Service.

The Hand Service enjoys a steady stream of national and international visitors, which helps maintain an active academic interchange and fruitful research collaborations.

Along with the exciting clinical research and teaching activities that have been the hallmark of the Orthopaedic Hand Service, we take particular pride in our ability to care for all patients who come to the Massachusetts General Hospital for evaluation and treatment of problems of their upper limb.

The Hand and Upper Extremity Service has a consistent presence at major national and international meetings and publishes a number of publications annually
