Dr. Natalie Rakestraw received her Bachelor of Health Science from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA in 2005. While at JMU she participated in club field hockey and taught as a group fitness instructor at the University Recreation Center. Her senior year she managed the wellness program at the University Recreation Center organizing educational programming for students.
After college Natalie moved to Boston to pursue her graduate work. She attended the MGH Institute of Health Professions where she received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree in 2009. Natalie began her work as a physical therapist at Spaulding Wellesley earning a Partners in Excellence award for Community Outreach. In addition to her full time work at the MGH Sports Physical Therapy clinic Natalie is also a teaching assistant at the MGH Institute of Health Professions. Natalie’s specific interests are in orthopedics and sports medicine, and she has a clinical specialty in dance medicine.
