Ms. Dahlin began the service with Dr. Billings in her role as a clinical nurse specialist and later nurse practitioner. With specialized education and training in oncology nursing, hospice nursing, and adult primary care, she received a Macaluso Award for Expertise in Clinical Practice from MGH Patient Care Services in June 2001 for her caring and innovative work with patients and staff. Ms Dahlin is past- President of the national Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association, and winner of the 2007 Advanced Practice Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse of the Year Award. She has published and lectured extensively on the care of patients with life threatening illness based on her experiences in clinical and administrative hospice and hospital care. She is presently Clinical Director.
