Dr Billings is a general internist, and the founder and Director of the Palliative Care Service here at MGH. In addition to his role in starting up home hospice programs and working as a hospice medical director, Dr Billings is a nationally known educator in end-of-life care. He teaches physicians and medical school faculty, and has published many articles and books on palliative medicine.
