Three MGH Pathology department members win prestigious Burroughs Wellcome Fund fellowships
Burroughs Wellcome Fund (BWF) Career Awards for Medical Scientists are highly competitive grants for junior physician-scientists. This year, about 125 applicants passed the initial screening process at medical schools around the US. Of that select group, only 29 were then invited for interviews. And, of those 29, only 16 were finally awarded BWF grants. Rather wonderfully, three of this small group of 16 final BWF awardees are affiliated with the MGH Pathology department.
