Laboratory Support Services
- Provides walk-in outpatient
phlebotomy services for patients in the Wang
Ambulatory Care Center.
Specimen Collection
Center - WACC 221
Walk-in Services provided as follows:
Hours of operation:
Monday and Friday, 6:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Tuesday - Thursday, 6:30 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Closed Saturdays and Sundays
Closed on the following
holidays: New Years
Day, Martin Luther King's birthday, Presidents
Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day,
Columbus Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas
Day.

- 3 p.m. to closing

9 a.m. or 4 p.m. to closing
Friday - 6:30 a.m.to 9 a.m. or 3 p.m. to closing.
NOTE: Tuesdays and Wednesdays following Monday
holidays
are very busy, and wait times may be longer than
normal.

- Manages pick up and delivery of all outpatient
specimens on campus. Also receives all off-campus
specimens delivered through Partners Transport
to our Customer Service Center
- Prints all patient reports for clinical laboratories
- Supports a centralized telephone service (24
hour, 7 day, 4-LABS ) for the Clinical Laboratories
to provide caregivers (not patients) with one
call access to patient results , general lab information,
test requirements and Laboratory Medicine consultation.
(Patients should call their caregiver for lab
results.) General laboratory information and test
requirements are also available via our online
laboratory
handbook.
- Staffs a billing Compliance unit to insure completion
of ICD-9 coding submissions for Clinical Laboratory
testing

Laboratory support services provides phlebotomy,
specimen transport, test results, patient reports,
and ICD-9 codes in a manner that is accurate, timely,
and compassionate. These services are provided to
patients, their families, our immediate supervisors,
our department, and the medical community as a whole.
We aim to bring to our customers caring, understanding,
and professionalism, and we hope to leave our customers
with a memory of services provided with respect and
warmth.
