Code Blue: Simulated Cardiac Arrest for the Experienced Nurse

The program targets nurses with more than a year of acute care experience. The purpose of the program is to increase participants' awareness, skill, and knowledge of teamwork principles and management of patients in cardiopulmonary arrest. The program includes didactic presentations and participation in simulated scenarios. Scenarios are videotaped and followed by a debriefing. The debriefing focuses on both the clinical and behavioral aspects of performance. Nurses with more than a year of acute care experience are eligible to attend. 2.25 Contact hours will be awarded.

Contact Hours:

Massachusetts General Hospital (OH-239/10-1-08) is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Ohio Nurses Association (OSN-001-91), an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.

Criteria for successful completion include attendance at the entire event and submission of a completed evaluation form.

Course open to MGH nurses only, no fee.

The Norman Knight Nursing Center does not accept credit card payments for registration of programs.  
Public transportation is strongly recommended  to attend continuing education programs. Garages in the vicinity of MGH generally charge approximately $ 40  per day. MGH does not reimburse for parking.
