Congenital Heart Disease

This  program is designed for healthcare providers who would like to expand their knowledge of pediatric congenital heart disease.

The 5-hour program will cover:
1. Functionality and structure of the heart
2. Initial care and assessment of the newborn
3. Congenital heart defects and repair
4. Cardiac catheterization, pre- and post catheterization care
5. Postoperative care and surgical complications
6. Transition to home

Massachusetts General Hospital (OH-239/10-1-08) is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Ohio Nurses Association (OSN-001-91), an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.

Criteria for successful completion include attendance at the entire event and submission of a completed evaluation form.

Registration Fees:  Free for MGH Employees and Students, $25 for Partners Employees, $50 for All Others.

The Norman Knight Nursing Center does not accept credit card payments for registration of programs.  
Public transportation is strongly recommended  to attend continuing education programs. Garages in the vicinity of MGH generally charge approximately $ 40  per day. MGH does not reimburse for parking.
