Diabetic Odyssey

This program is designed to update and enhance the nurse’s knowledge of new care strategies and guidelines when caring for a patient with diabetes. Topics will include Disease Management, pathophysiology of Type I and Type II diabetes; pharmacologic interventions; monitoring and management of diabetes; nutrition and exercise, complications; patient education and caring for special populations. Contact hours will be awarded.

Massachusetts General Hospital (OH-239/10-1-08) is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Ohio Nurses Association (OSN-001-91), an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.

Criteria for successful completion include attendance at the entire event and submission of a completed evaluation form.

Registration Fees:  Free for MGH Employees and Students, $50 for Partners Employees, $100 for All Others.

The Norman Knight Nursing Center does not accept credit card payments for registration of programs.  
Public transportation is strongly recommended  to attend continuing education programs. Garages in the vicinity of MGH generally charge approximately $ 40  per day. MGH does not reimburse for parking.
