Phase II Wound Care Education Program
This comprehensive two-day program is designed for the staff nurse or Advanced Practice Nurse enthusiast who is interested in building on their knowledge and expertise in wound care. Wound physiology and principles of wound care and prevention are reviewed, followed by review of a wide variety of cutaneous wounds and discussion of innovative, evidenced-based wound care management. The course includes practice sessions related to wound assessment, treatment decision, and application of selected dressings. The target audience includes: Nurses and Advanced Practice Nurses who are comfortable with basic wound care, wish to expand their knowledge and expertise and are willing to act as a resource to their peers. A minimum of 2 years acute care experience is recommended. MGH Nurses should have approval/recommendation from their CNS/Nurse Manager. Contact hours will be awarded.

Massachusetts General Hospital (OH-239/10-1-08) is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Ohio Nurses Association (OSN-001-91), an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
Criteria for successful completion include attendance at the entire event and submission of a completed evaluation form. |
