The Central Resource Team (CRT) provides
short-term and supplemental staffing support to inpatient units. CRT registered nurses may be members of the Rapid Response Team, which provides short-term intervention to patient care units in response to fluctuations in volume and/or acuity or members of the ICU Float Team, which provides supplemental staffing to the intensive care units. CRT nurses have the opportunity to care for patients with surgical, medical, orthopaedic and neurologic conditions.

The clinical nursing supervisors provide a key support
role in the department of nursing. Nursing supervisors coordinate placement
of critically ill patients, deploy Central Resource Team staff, serve
as a clinical resource in the management of patient care and provide nursing
administrative support.
