Best Practice in Acute Care for Older Adults

This comprehensive two-day program will provide health care providers with evidence based knowledge related to the care and special needs of hospitalized older adults. The purpose of this interdisciplinary program is to have participants develop a better understanding of best practices in geriatric care and a team approach to reduce the incidence of common geriatric syndromes. The target audience includes health care professionals whose practice involves the care of older adults. This program also serves as a review of core competencies for ANCC geriatric certification.  Contact hours will be awarded for nurses who attend both days.
