Management of the High Acuity Trauma Patient
This program is designed to offer critical care nurses with less than two years of trauma experience an overview of common trauma injuries and management of those injuries in the acute period. Topics include initial interaction with the polytraumatized patient, musculoskeletal and vascular injury, head trauma and cerebral dynamics and pediatric trauma. The target audience includes critical care nurses that have less than two years experience caring for the high acuity trauma patient. 6.75 contact hours will be awarded.

Massachusetts General Hospital (OH-239/10-1-11) is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Ohio Nurses Association (OBN-001-91), an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
Criteria for successful completion include attendance at the entire event and submission of a completed evaluation form. |
