Oncology Nursing Society Chemotherapy Biotherapy Course
The purpose of this nationally offered program developed and administrated by the Oncology Nursing Society is to increase knowledge about cytotoxic treatments of cancer. Objectives include describing the action and side effects of chemotherapy and biotherapy agents, describing safe administration techniques, and discussing the nursing care of patients receiving chemotherapy or biotherapy.
Note: Only registered nurses who will administer chemotherapy may take this program. Nurses from Ell 7, 12, 14, 16, 17, 18, 19; PH 20, 21; Big 7, 12; Wht 12, Yawkey 8 and Radiation Medicine RNs are welcome to attend. All other interested nurses must get their manager's approval to attend this program. Fee structure is different for Non-MGH nurses. Contact hours provided by ONS.
