The Patient Advocates coordinate, investigate,
and resolve patient/family grievances concerning the quality of
care and services by providing a formal mechanism for investigating
patient complaints. In addition, the department coordinates the
implementation of JCAHO standards and state/federal laws pertaining
to patients' rights, advance directives, the Americans with disabilities
Act, and ethical issues. The Director of the Office of Patient Advocacy
is Sally Millar, RN, MBA. Diann Burnham, Denise Flaherty, Linda Kane, and Steve
Reardon, are the Advocacy Representatives. Lani Mauricio is the Patient Advocacy Coordinator. To inquire about positions available

The office is located in the lobby of the Wang
Ambulatory Care Center, Room 18. It is open Monday through Friday
from 8:30 AM until 5:00 PM, excluding holidays.
