The Diversity Steering Committee of the PCS Collaborative Governance structure is responsible for the planning and implementation of educational programs and celebratory events which highlight practice competence and organizational contributions of a highly diverse staff caring for a multiethnic and multicultural patient population.

Patient Care Services Information Systems (PCSIS) is responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating clinical and administrative information tools and systems. The department serves as a liaison between Patient Care Services and Partners Information Systems.

As part of the Partners International Program, the Massachusetts General Hospital International Patient Center is a full-service office that assists international patients and referring physicians looking for a consultation, a second opinion or treatment for a complex illness.

Patient Care Services (PCS) Financial Management Systems is responsible for the review, analysis and evaluation of management systems and programs within Patient Care Services. The department provides support to the leadership of nursing departments, the clinical therapies and social services to assure effective and optimum utilization of personnel, fiscal and material resources.

Medical interpreters are available to facilitate communication between non-English or limited-English speaking patients and the MGH staff. Interpreters for deaf and hard of hearing patients may also be booked through the office.

The Office of Patient Advocacy (OPA) is responsible for managing the hospital's patient commendation and complaint process. Patient Advocates serve as liaisons between patients and the hospital.
