Community Outreach
Our department prides itself on being an integrated member of the MGH Community and seeks ways to have a positive impact not only at the MGH facilities but also in the communities that are served by the hospital. Therefore, this department remains involved in sponsoring and assisting with a multitude of community policing programs. Below are some of the activities we have participated in.
• Annual Children’s Safety Fair
• Annual Police Parking, Photography Fair (Popps)
• Community Policing programs presented by Operations and SIU
• CPR classes for the Somerville Boys and Girls Club
• Charity Fundraising for the HAVEN program for families of domestic violence
• Crime Prevention Tips and Personal Safety Guidance presented to various civic groups
• Chelsea Bike Safety for Children
• Chelsea Safety Fair
• Timilty School Science Fair
• Timilty School Mentor Program
• “Revere Cares”/MGH and The City National Night Against Crime
• Revere Safety Fair and Road Race
