Dr. Vranceanu has completed her graduate training in ClinicalHealth Psychology at Kent State University, and her internship in BehaviorMedicine at Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Vranceanu?s research focuses onpsychosocial correlates of medical illness, the development and testing ofskills based interventions for patients with medical illness, and the use oftechnology in improving the care of medical patients. Dr. Vranceanu haspublished over 70 articles and book chapters. Her research has been supportedby several research grants. Currently Dr. Vranceanu serves as PI on 3 clinicaltrials testing evidenced based interventions delivered using videoconference inadults with orthopedic trauma, and adults and adolescents withneurofibromatosis. Clinically, Dr. Vranceanu has over 10 years experience workingwith patients with medical illness using evidence-based time limitedapproaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and CommitmentTherapy, the Relaxation Response Resiliency Program (3RP) and other mind bodyapproaches. She also specialized in delivering interventions via telepsychiatryand videoconferencing.
