Dr. Ana-Maria Vranceanu is a staff psychologist in Behavioral Medicine and an Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School. Clinically she has over 10 years experience working with patients with comorbid medical and psychiatric illness using time limited approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Mindfulness. Her primary research concerns developing and testing skills based psychosocial interventions to be delivered within medical practices. She has over 80 publications, and has served as PI on 6 completed research grants. She is currently PI on 3 clinical trials testing brief psychosocial interventions delivered via videoconferencing to adults with acute pain at risk for chronicity, adolescents with neurofibromatosis, and adults with neurofibromatosis type 2 who are deaf. She has interest and expertise in the use of technology including live videoconferencing and Computer Adaptive Real Time Translation.
