Adult Ambulatory Services comprise the clinical services centered around Wang 8 including the Primary Care Psychiatry group receiving referrals from MGH PCPs directly or through the Urgent Care Clinic, the psychiatry resident training clinics, as well as a number of psychiatry and psychology practitioners who are not affiliated with specialty practices.

Our services also include the more specialized clinical and clinical research programs both in the Wang Ambulatory Care Center and elsewhere including Anxiety, Geriatrics, OCD, Depression, Bipolar, Schizophrenia and First Episode Psychosis, Eating Disorders, CBT, DBT, Couples and Family Psychotherapy, and Group Psychotherapy.

Specialized ambulatory services are also provided through the Psychiatry and Medicine program including the Women’s Mental Health Program, Neuropsychiatry Program, Behavioral Medicine, Psycho-Oncology, and outpatient components of the consult liaison services to the Burn and Trauma Services, Transplant Surgery, GI, Cardiology, and HIV/AIDS.

Our Neurotherapeutics Program includes the Somatic Therapies Unit which provides both short-term and maintenance ECT on an outpatient (as well as inpatient) basis and a small Vagal Nerve Stimulation program that provides outpatient VNS evaluation and follow-up for patients with chronic, treatment refractory mood disorders. Our ambulatory addiction services have been also expanded significantly to include state-of-the art treatment for both adults and adolescents and the development of the innovative Addiction Recovery Management Service (ARMS) and transitional age youth intensive outpatient program.
